Serpent that gives names

Do you know why people, events, and deities become forgotten over time? They just have too complicated names.
 This is a small experimental variation of the well-known "Snake", richly flavored with not the most pleasant visual effects.
 I sincerely hope that someone will find this worthy of attention.
